Transformer Selection: When selecting a 12V-24V transformer, make sure its output wattage is at least 20% higher than the total wattage required by all connected devices. For instance, if you’re connecting eight 3-watt LED lights, you need a transformer with an output wattage of at least 28.8 watts (8 x 3 x 1.2 = 28.8 watts).
