RCWL-0516 is a Doppler radar microwave motion sensor module using the RCWL-9196 IC which can be used as an alternative to a PIR motion sensor such as the HC-SR501 or HY-SRF05
Uses microwave Doppler radar to detect human bodies and moving objects rather than infrared detection
High sensitivity, 5-7 meter sensing distance, wide sensing angle, high reliability, wide range of operating voltages (4V – 28V)
Widely used in human body sensing, auto-on lighting systems and anti-theft alarm systems
Unlike traditional infrared PIR detectors, it can detect through glass, some walls and other objects
